Privacy Policy

This policy covers the personal automation tools built and operated by Sam Schuemacher ("the App," "Atlas") for his own individual use. This is not a commercial product or public service — it is a single-user application with one user: its owner.

What the App accesses, and why

With explicit Google account authorization (OAuth), the App requests these Google API scopes:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly — reads inbox and sent messages, used to power daily briefings, task extraction, and application-status tracking (e.g., detecting a job-application reply) for the owner alone.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.compose — creates draft replies for the owner to review and send manually; the App never sends email on its own.
Google Calendar (read/write) — reads upcoming events to build daily briefings and meeting prep, and can create or update events at the owner's explicit request.

All three scopes serve the same single purpose: giving the owner an automated daily briefing and task-tracking assistant over his own accounts. No scope is used for any other purpose.

What the App does not do

Does not share, sell, or rent any data to third parties.
Does not use any data for advertising.
Does not grant access to any other user or account — only the owner's own Google account is connected.
Does not send email or take irreversible actions without the owner's direct review and action.

Where data lives

Data is stored on infrastructure the owner directly controls and operates. Content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API solely to generate the owner's own personal outputs (summaries, drafts, task lists) — never to train models or for any purpose beyond serving this single user.

Data retention & deletion

The owner can delete stored data or revoke this app's access to his Google account at any time via Google Account permissions.
